Dye and his three brothers, all of high school age, are out camping together just before the start of the school year, when a mysterious cosmic event appears before them and gives each of them super powers from an animal spirit tied to one of the four ancient elements of earth, air, fire, and water. Dye, despite being the youngest, is the first to bravely embrace the new powers, but as the brothers try to understand and learn about the gift and responsibility they have been given, a mighty evil spirit demon from the past arises to challenge them in its search for a mighty object that will allow it to conquer the earth. It’s enough of a challenge for the brothers just to navigate high school, but they must now embrace their powers and come together to save the people of earth. Reading this novel, it doesn’t take much to see that the author is a major fan of the superhero genre, and many a fan will enjoy the journey of a brotherhood of new superheroes. Much of the story can be imagined in a graphic format, which as noted at the end of the book, it appears some shorter sequels have been published in this format. However, there are sections where some of the inner mental conflicts might drag the action at times. There are also moments where some lines of the fantasy mythology may be crossed for optimum conflict, but these bent spots are realigned quickly to get back to thrilling graphic novel fanatics with powerful action and unanticipated plot twists.Product details

I am blown away by this first book "The Jenshia Star (The Xenton Chronicles) A well developed narrative, right from the first page -- I know that Will Calloway is giving me an unputdownable read -- that is the first quality that any book must have for me -- if it doesn't, then I probably won't finish it.
Will Calloway has done a superb job establishing his characters -- what is the secret of the power they possess? Whom, or what is the evil force that threatens the brotherhood's existence? Heroes, good, evil, a threat to survival -- it's all here -- at only 77p as a download -- $1.21 if you're in the US. It's in paperback too at £15.95 in the UK just think what a cool Christmas gift it would make!
US say that it's available in paperback, but I don't see any pricing information given -- perhaps can rectify this...
I just purchased this book today! Can't wait to read. Have heard so much about these Chronicles, I purchased all three in addition to the author's soon to be released book in October!
I don't really like superheroe books. Plus there were a lot of misspelled words. Or words missing. Maybe for a younger group.
W.M. Calloway is a very talented and creative up and coming writer. The Xenton Chronicles is so captivating I want to read them all- can't wait for the next one. It's time for a fresh perspective on superheroes!
Edit The new version of The Jenshia Star is out now. You can tell the difference between the first edition and this current edition. The story line is the same but it just flows better, I can't put my finger on it. The cover also looks way better than the original edition. I think it will reach a wider audience now.
A must read book and excellent series!
Its was a great, and it was action packed! Before I wasn't a fan of superheroes at all, but now I am. All of the characters are my favorite-I wouldn't be able to pick and choose. The imagery the author uses is amazing and so intruiging that after the first chapter it was impossible to put the book down. It is a great book for anybody, and I can't believe that it doesn't have more views than it does. I would highly recommend it. The characters are unique, and the elaboration on the main events bring the reader into the story with the characters. Everybody should read it! )
Dye, Sam, Jason and Mack,are brothers given some mysterious powers but of course nothing is a powerful as the git of being brothers. This suspense filled novel pits good vs evil in a perfect combination. I can't wait to read more of this series. I love the author's writing style which draws the reader in and soon you become as one with the tale. Great job on an amazing book. Well worth a five star rating, five for story, five for the author and five for making the reader hungry for more.
