After a summary of the parent company, the magazine covers the FW 159, origins and early development of the 190, first encounters with the RAF, the high-altitude B and C models, the F and G CAS models, top-scoring FW 190 ace Otto Kittel, the Dora version, Sturmbock models and ops, the Ta 152, test comparisons with the Spit/P-51/Tiffy/F4U/P-38/etc., special weapons and mods, etc.
The text is illustrated with hundreds of vintage and present-day b&w and color photographs, combat artwork by Mark Postlethwaite and color profiles by Claes Sundin and Bjorn Huber.
Though there have been a number of books on the FW 190, this 2014 release serves as a wonderfully-illustrated overview of Kurt Tank's deadly creation. Recommended.
